Interactive Base Items

Like all my other posts I would like to start off by saying thank you to the current development team working on DCUO, us player voices feel heard and respected and we are grateful for that. In recent years a few base items have been added to the game that allow players to interact with them but not in the traditional sense. The interactions with the base items usually consists of the item either making a sound, have a little animation to it, or a pop up text of some sort. While these aren’t bad I think adding more interact-able items to the game in the traditional sense would be awesome. Items that would be cool to see would be Couches. It would be great to have a couch when once you interact with it your character ends up sitting in it, it would be even better if another player could interact with is as well and end up sitting on the other side of the couch also. Another I would like to see is interactive Bed. There should be beds in game where once you interact with it your character is laying on it or even getting cozy under some covers. My last interactive base item I’d like to see is an interactive Television or Flatscreen Television where when you interact with it the television can either turn on or off, doesn’t really matter what channels showing but if its difficult to have switchable channels you can maybe add a version specific for Gotham and a version specific for Metropolis. These would add a more dynamic immersed experience for DCUO players. Thank you for reading

All of that would be great. Of course, it would also be nice if we could set things on other things, like table lamps on tables, or pizza boxes on tables, or books on tables...

I know all of these things would have been more difficult back on the PS3, but as we can see from the changes that have been made to the game the last couple of years, that's no longer an issue. Why can't we sit on our couches or lie down on our beds? Why can't we watch our TVs? And why, in the name of all that's holy, can't I pet Streaky?

That would be so cool. Being able to place other base items on top of one another would be great, definitely classic MMO RPG Base Decorating activity. Interactive lamps would be a great addition to the game as well.

It would also be nice if they actually functioned as light sources. The small, one-room bases are well-lit, but the big bases are so dark, and adding lamps, ceiling lights, and even TVs does nothing to brighten them up. 😿
