Kryptonian emblem of hope chest augment

I had this idea that would have been great for the current DLC where we get a new chest augment that incorporated all the traits of a kryptonian powered being:

1. New enhanced animation for a more powerful heat vision.

2. New enhanced animation for super breath that both freezes and blows away enemies depending on which button you click. Left mouse button will blow away or right for freeze breath like the new wiplash payload.

3. Temporary Invulnerability with a glowing golden aura around the player. You hover 2 feet off the air looking like your absorbing solar energy from the sun.

4. Superhuman strength, throwing random massive objects like vehicles, boulders, etc.

# 1 is already in the game via an Artifact that you equip and level up like any other Artifact. At the highest levels, your Heat Vision becomes so hot it turns blue-white, like in the Supergirl TV series.

# 4 is also in the game, it's an Iconic Power. Costs you only 1 Skill Point. Without it, there will be a lot of objects in the game you can't lift and throw.

#1 doesn't have to have the same animation style. There are many different ways to animate heat vision if you look at the comics.

#4 Random massive large objects can be boulders, cars, anything in the game.

The new animations for the fire augment shows that the devs can create new animations that are better looking than what we've had years ago.

Hello,
To begin, I'd like to say that I really like the idea of a power array augment based on Superman/Kryptonian abilities.

1. Regarding the heat vision, the redesign is a great idea. I'll also make it a finisher to create a decent alternative to The Omega Totality.
Furthermore, I like your interaction idea for the super breath.

So, for the heat vision, I propose:
- Left click would focus on a target: "Left click during the ability's animation intensifies heat vision and deals additional damage ticks per left click (with a maximum click limit)."
- Right click: I propose copying the idea of Superboy's ability to target multiple enemies: "Each right click during the animation allows you to rotate around you and hit as many enemies as possible (with a maximum click limit)."

2. Regarding the super breath, I really like your idea if it's in DPS mode. For tank mode, is the enemy freeze effect longer, for example?

3. Another skill to give tanks additional tools: Violently clap your hands to create a shockwave and stun enemies in front of you for 2 seconds (or more/less if 2 seconds is too much/not enough). In DPS mode, the skill deals additional damage; in tank mode, it also aggros targets affected by the skill.

4. I like your idea of temporary invulnerability, but I'd like to add an interaction like, "Other skills used during invulnerability deal more damage for DPS/or another bonus idea for tanks."

5. I propose a stat buff if the player uses a Kryptonian artifact, such as:

- "Solar Amplifier" for DPS
- A new tanking-oriented artifact, still themed around Superman/or Krypton in general (which gives developers the opportunity to offer a new artifact to level up, thus encouraging players eager to max it out to spend money).

What do you think of my proposal?

I throw in additionally these Abilities:

Kryptonian Might (Weapon Buff)

40% More Precision (7% more than regular) + 5-10% more Might

Kryptonian Toughness (Shield)

Group Breakout with a higher Shield Multiplier than regualar Breakouts

Kryptonian Regeneration (Heal)

Healing for yourself or for the Group if you're in Healer Role

Kryptonian Presence (Debuff)

AoE Damage over Time, in Controller Role debuffs Enemy.

Love all these ideas. Some would work as great passives which I like how they touched on in the fire augments that were just released but I still wish all augments came out with at least 6 powers. Those kits are full of good single target and aoe powers.

Great idea, but how would that work on a gamepad? The majority of DCUO players are on PlayStation. Even before you add in PC players who use a gamepad, XBox players, and Switch players, keyboard and mouse players are a distinct minority in DCUO.

The same way people use wiplash payload now with the left button to apply bombs on a target and the right mouse ebutton to fire the guns to cause them to explode. Not sure how you do it not being on a pc but these mechanics are already in use.

The poster doesn’t mean that they want there heatvision to be blue, they want it to be red just more powerful also solar amp is not as strong as it used to be so what they’re asking for is very much on par with current dcuo.

Yes, I get the mouse buttons, but how does that translate to a gamepad, when all the buttons are already in use, along with both triggers, and when the bumpers already have functions assigned to them.

It's a great idea for keyboard/mouse, but again, the PlayStation population is higher than the PC population.

That’s a fair question. I admit I was thinking in terms of a PC setup with a keyboard and mouse when I wrote my message (since I’m a PC gamer).
I don’t have the answer to your question, but I think a solution is possible.
For example, look at ESO: it plays really well with both keyboard + mouse or a controller.

Looking at that ability as a reference, they are asking for combo abilities.

Whiplash Payload applies bombs by tapping Melee, and detonates by tapping Range.

It's feasible, and would be just like any other combo ability in game.
