Map revisions

After 15 years, I can safely say...These maps need some work...Especially Gotham. So dull, too small, and cookie-cutter...Not to mention both cities have so much old activity going on that never really was all that fun...I doubt anyone was really clamoring for say, fighting big monkeys in the streets of METROPOLIS...Maybe Central City, but not Metro... And on top of that, nothing that really has much purpose post endgame.

P.S. As for the area of Gotham in particular, it'd partially help if a large portion weren't stuck in damn BOTTLES for 15 years!

...And unbottle the Daily Planet, would ya? Such a taunt to the fans. Bottle up some of the best parts and NEVER release them for 15 years...

Unbottling buildings in Gotham and Metro would give the game a while new experience. There’s gonna be people saying that decisions like these are fruitless but totally forget that they are literally playing an MMO ACTION RPG where you can create your own story. With the buildings being unbottled there’d be more spots to hang out, host dueling events, or if the dev team is up for it allow us to place bases in brand new areas. This would be great.

So take the gorillas out of Metropolis, for example... and new players/characters lose that leveling mission. Which is why they tend to create new versions of those two cities for new episodes that need them, with adjusted maps and different encounters.

I got better.
I'm seeing a trend with your posts.

2 points you seem to gloss over with your 15 years comments.

1) The open world was built on a specific story event on how we got our powers. To change that, would rework the foundation and would require more than just changing the map. That is to say, they couldn't do it or maybe make a separate instance based leveling areas for the 1-30 quests, but that's probably outside of the scope for this game.

2) Any kind of big set of changes require a lot of resources to do and if you really have been here for 15 years, you would know that right now the player retention and new players are what they are focusing on. Maybe when the game stabilizes, they can look at foundation stuff, but otherwise you probably should go to end game and play on the many other new maps we got.
